BHARAT THAKUR

From the Himalayas to the World

About

Bharat Thakur brings the force of ancient yogic wisdom into the rhythm of modern life. His work blends movement, meditation, breath, art, and inner discipline into a direct path for transformation.

Dr. Bharat Thakur is a Himalayan yoga master, founder and chairman of Artistic Yoga, and one of the most distinctive teachers in contemporary yoga.

Trained in the Himalayan yogic tradition from a young age, his understanding of yoga was shaped not as a system of exercise, but as a complete science of human transformation.

For over three decades, he has taught yoga, meditation, breathwork and inner disciplines to students across the world, bringing ancient yogic wisdom into a form that is direct, practical and deeply relevant to modern life.

His teaching is rooted in a simple understanding: true well-being cannot be approached through the body or mind alone. Lasting transformation arises when body, breath, mind, emotion, energy and awareness are cultivated together.

Through live classes, meditation programs, retreats and teacher training, Dr. Bharat Thakur continues to share a living tradition that is both ancient in origin and contemporary in application.
